Equipment Service Department

Each of our major brand companies, Stihl power equipment, Snapper lawn mowers, Dixon ZTR Mowers, Briggs & Stratton Engines and Kohler Engines, require yearly technical schools and training updates in order for us to maintain our Authorized Dealer status and be qualified to perform warranty repairs. The technicians or the owner attend these sessions annually to keep up to date on the latest technology, improve on their skills, and keep the other employees informed.

Our technicians come to the Rental Ranch with a strong interest in small engines and power equipment. They have either attended area technical schools because they have chosen to pursue the field as a career or have a passion for engines and powered equipment and have chosen to work in the industry.

Pick up and delivery is available with fees varying depending on distance.

Full Service on Lawn Mowers and Riding Mowers Includes:

• Change engine oil/oil filter (if equipped)
• Install new air filter
• Install new spark plug
• Install new fuel filter (if equipped)
• Check ignition and compression
• Check carburetor/clean fuel bowl and fuel jet
• Treat fuel system with stabilizer (in winter)
• Check engine-cooling fins/clean as needed
• Adjust valve clearances (overhead valve engines)
• Sharpen and Balance blade
• Clean mower deck-top and bottom
• Inspect wheels – adjust as necessary
• Inspect drive unit (belts/bearings/pulleys/etc.)
• Inspect/charge battery/cables (as equipped/needed)
• Lube chassis/transmission/gear box/chains (as equipped)
• Check/adjust clutch cable
• Check/tighten handles
• Check safety interlock
• Check/inflate tires

Full Service on Chain Saws, Weed Trimmers, Leaf Blowers, etc. Includes:

• Check ignition/compression
• Clean air filter
• Check sprocket & bar (chain saws)
• Sharpen chain
• Check spark screen/exhaust screen
• Adjust carburetor/fuel filter

• Check trimmer head-wind with line (trimmers)
